Initially these decks were being created for ‘target populations’, a popular phrase in the language of mental health and addictions. We have abandoned this framework to make way for these decks, which have been built for all humans. The revelations came as the decks were being built, wiped and rebuilt. We have all been both the predator and the prey. Regardless of our experiences we encounter the same emotions and human complexities.

These decks are for the ones who hustle, perform, protect, ache, burn, grieve, glow, rise, fall and try again. There is a universal language in our survival, our journey, our transformations and growth. We do not need to have done sex work to understand power dynamics, we do not need to be unhoused to feel exposed and invisible at the same time. We do not need to have a complicated relationship with substance use to know how hard it is to lean away from habits that cause us and those we love pain.

Theses decks are for all humans who have lived a life.

Let’s make our traumas sacred, universal, and let’s work on healing as a human family.
